Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

How often should I schedule a massage?

Everyone/every body is different but I generally recommend 1-2 times a month to reduce stress, improve circulation, and to reduce muscle tension.

Do I have to remove all of my clothes for a massage?

No, I encourage you to disrobe to your comfortability. I'll do my best to work with and around anything you choose to keep on. If you do prefer to be clothed I recommend loose fitting material or athleticwear (gym shorts, yoga pants, sleeveless shirts, or tank tops)

What is your table size and capacity?

My table is 30" W X 73" L (not including face cradle), holds a static weight of 2400lbs and a working weight of 700lbs
I also have a table extender for the width and length.
If you have any questions about any
accommodations please contact me.

What type of oil do you use?

I typically use 100% Jojoba oil or a non scented hypoallergenic lotion. If you have any sensitivities or allergies please notify me before the session or in the intake form

What to expect before, during and after the massage:

Before

  • Fill out intake and client waiver form.

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes early to your scheduled appointment, especially if it's our first session together, to allow time for any questions or assessment and conversation. Please, inform me of any new injuries, sensitivities, or concerns no matter how small or seemingly insignificant.

  • Remove all accessories you feel comfortable taking off. Examples: Rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches, hair clips etc... Keep in mind I will need to work near and around them with oil or lotion.

  • Try to remember to silence your phone or smart devices, if possible, to limit distractions for both you and I and to create a peaceful environment.

  • After we've talked about your goals for the session I will step out of the room to wash up before our massage, and you will disrobe to your comfort level. I do recommend removing any kind of top undergarment to allow full access to your back, but your comfort and safety come first. I can work through/ with what ever you choose.

  • After you disrobe you will get under the top sheets either face up or down depending on what we decide during our intake.
  • After washing my hands I will knock on the door before reentering the room
